Welcome to Shekarian Law’s FREE Express Entry CRS points calculator

Before using this tool, please take a few moments and read the following:

It’s an online system that the Canadian Government is using to manage applications for Canadian permanent residency. Although Express Entry is not the only pathway for Canadian PR, it remains the most popular option. In short, Skilled Workers can apply under three different streams, and if selected in this point-based system, they will be granted permanent residency in Canada.

For all streams of Express Entry, applicants must have:

  • language skills as determined by Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) for English and/or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) for French.
    • For language tests accepted for the Express Entry program, see here.
    • For language test equivalency charts, see here.
  • At least one year of work experience in certain skill levels as determined by the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC). Therefore, not all work experience is eligible for Express Entry. It is therefore very important to ensure that your work experience is qualified.
    • To determine the NOC for your work experience see this link, and watch this video

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a points-based system that Canada uses to assess and score profiles in the Express Entry pool, and rank them accordingly. Basically, your CRS score will determine your chances for getting Permanent Residency through Express Entry. Our calculator will help you do just that.
