Siavash Shekarian; Lawyer and Canadian Business Immigration Specialist

Siavash Shekarian is a Canadian lawyer, entrepreneur, and policy advocate with a multidisciplinary background in engineering, law, and business.
He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering and a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Toronto, and brings a systems-level approach to legal problem-solving—bridging technical complexity, commercial realities, and legal strategy. Siavash advises startups, scaling companies, investors, and internationally mobile founders on business law, corporate structuring, and business immigration to Canada.
His practice includes cross-border transactions, complex business matters, and high-stakes international disputes, including involvement in multi-billion-dollar arbitration proceedings. Known for his pragmatic and outcome-driven approach, Siavash focuses on solutions that support long-term growth, not just legal compliance. Beyond legal practice, Siavash has co-founded and advised ventures in education, trade, real estate, and technology, and serves as a legal advisor to multiple boards—bringing an entrepreneur’s mindset to every client engagement.
He is the Chair of the Business Immigration Committee at the Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association (CILA) and an Executive Member and Public Affairs Liaison of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA). He is also the initiator and spokesperson for Catalyst Canada, a platform advancing policy dialogue on business immigration, innovation, and economic contribution.
